Renting a Limo for the Bachelorette Party: Questions to ask the Limo Driver
Renting a limo for the Bachelorette Party can make you go down in history as a superstar Maid of Honor. Seeing the Bride's face when she realizes the limo is there for her is priceless. And there's nothing better than the Maid of Honor, Bride, and Bachelorette Party guests raising a glass of champagne to toast the Bride in the back of a limo. I know; I rented a limo when I was Maid of Honor and it was fabulous!
To make sure that the Bachelorette Party limo ride is everything the Maid of Honor wants it to be, make sure to ask the limo company (or preferably limo driver) the following questions.
- How familiar is the limo driver with the places you want him to take you? As Maid of Honor, make sure to give the limo driver an itinerary of the Bachelorette Party and discuss how to get to each place. When I was Maid of Honor, I assumed limo drivers were like taxi drivers, great with directions, but I was wrong! Don't get lost at your Bachelorette Party!
- What is the limo cleaning policy? It's not so out of the question to believe that someone at the Bachelorette Party may drink too much and make a mess in the back of the limo. As a well-prepared Maid of Honor, you should find out what the obligatory cleaning fees might be.
- What will the limo driver do while the Bachelorette Party guests enjoy themselves at the bar or restaurant? When I was Maid of Honor our limo driver tried to hang out with us and chase guys away like a big brother. The last straw was when he tried to join the Bachelorette Party and have a drink with us. That's SO not okay!
- How much extra does it cost if the Bachelorette Party goes longer than expected? A well-meaning Maid of Honor can easily get carried away at the Bachelorette Party and spend way more than she budgeted! Know what overtime on the limo costs in advance.
- What is the limo cancellation policy? If the Maid of Honor or Bride are really sick, it might be a good idea to postpone the Bachelorette Party. Find out in advance what the consequences are if you need to cancel.
On the night of the Bachelorette Party, the Maid of Honor should bring the phone numbers of the limo driver and the limo service home base, as well as a tentative itinerary of desired stops and directions. It'll make the evening much less stressful!
