Maid of Honor Tips: Bachelorette Party Ideas

Once you're ready to start planning the Bachelorette Party, there are a ton of fun things you can choose. From bars and restaurants to night clubs and strip shows, the Maid of Honor has no shortage of fabulous locales to include in the Bachelorette evening. Here are just a few of the many terrific options.

Bachelorette Restaurants: The Good, The Bad, The One with the Phallic Hats

A good Bachelorette Party usually starts with dinner, which guarantees that everyone, Bride included, begins the night with something in their stomachs. Kicking off the evening at a restaurant also helps the Maid of Honor break the ice and start getting everyone pumped up and excited (and a bit tipsy!). Depending on your budget, you might opt for a fancy dinner at an upscale restaurant or bar food at the Bride's favorite place. A Maid of Honor with a wine-loving Bride could set up dinner and a wine tasting at a fixed price at a trendy wine bar.

One fun dinner option which is available in many places across the US is Dick's Last Resort. At this fine eating establishment and bar, the Maid of Honor can expect everyone to be treated badly, encouraged to drink, and (if you're lucky) be forced to wear phallic hats with very suggestive messages written on them. Needless to say, it makes for a great start to a Bachelorette Party.

Bars, Lounges and Scantily Clad Men

Bars and lounges are obviously Bachelorette Party favorites, but the Maid of Honor doesn't have to limit herself to these. Why not take the rowdy Bachelorette and company to do karaoke, or sing bad eighties songs at the top of their lungs at a piano bar? Or you could at least mix things up by going to a sexy ultra-lounge followed by a beer-soaked dive bar!

Dancing is a must-have for most Bachelorettes. Besides the traditional night club, the Maid of Honor could choose something a bit different like a Latin salsa club or a club theme night. Surf the web to see if local clubs are having beach, eighties, Halloween or other theme nights.

And of course, there's always the guaranteed fun of taking the Bachelorette to a strip club or show, or even hiring a private stripper. Nothing says, "Congratulations on your upcoming wedding," like a series of hot guys in g-strings and thongs!

Depending on the Bachelorette Party location, the Maid of Honor could cap off the evening with a visit to the beach in the wee hours of the morning. You can play in the surf, dance around the sand or collapse on a beach blanket.

Finally, you'll probably want to bring everyone back to home base (Maid of Honor's house, the Bride's, or wherever most guests are sleeping) and break out some late night snacks and lots of water. If you're planning to bestow a naughty cake upon the Bachelorette, that would make a spectacular end to a fantastic Bachelorette Party!
